Rainbow Suns

6th Grade, 1st Rotation
Competed Aug. 25th, 2016

Students created their own sun design inspired by the art of Aztecs and Huichol tribes of Mexico. Students then used markers and rainbow colors to create a striking pattern and visual effect.
















Aborigine Inspired Paintings

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester
Completed Aug. 26th, 2016

Students learned about the native Aborigines of Australia and their distinct art style. Students then created their own Aborigine inspired painting using many patterns and vibrant colors.

Crazy Shaped Color Wheels

6th Grade, 1st Rotation
Completed Aug. 22nd, 2016

Students chose an interesting shape and drew a contour line drawing of it, then divided it into 12 sections. Students then learned to mix their own secondary and intermediate colors with only the 3 primary colors and painted in their color wheel sections in rainbow order.















Invented Product Magazine Advertisements

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester
Completed Aug. 22nd, 2016

Students invented a new product and used the Rule of 3rds as well as the Principles of Design to create a magazine advertisement to promote their awesome idea!
