Greek Inspired Doorway Relief Carvings

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester

Students studied the architecture of Greece and designed their own doorway with some Greek elements. Students explored pattern, texture, and low-relief sculpture while using tooling foil.

Chinese Dragon Stamps

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester

Students created their own dragon drawing inspired by Chinese New Year dragons. They then created a small stamp to incorporate into the border of their finished artwork.

James Rizzi 3-D Buildings

6th Grade, 1st Quarter

Students created their own colorful James Rizzi inspired cardboard sculpture of a whimsical building.

Dale Chihuly Sun Catchers

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester

Completed Sept. 16, 2014

Students used tissue paper and coordinating color schemes to create a sun catcher inspired by the beautiful glass art of Dale Chihuly.
