"State of the Art" Inspired Watercolor Paintings

7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester

Students viewed images and read text provided by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art's special exhibit, State of the Art. Students then chose a work of art to critique and use as inspiration for their own watercolor painting. Students learned 6 different watercolor techniques and incorporated all of them into their final artwork.
