Monochromatic NW Coastal Native American Paintings
7th & 8th Grade, 1st Semester

Students mixed black with one color to create three different shades and white with the same color to create three different tints in order to make a monochromatic painting. For the style of the painting, students were inspired by the art of Northwest Coastal Native Americans.
Franz Marc Inspired Expressionist Paintings
6th Grade, 1st Quarter

Students created their own abstract painting focusing on Expressionism inspired by German artist, Franz Marc. Students made connections between art and Intro. to Foreign Language class.
